In Kenya, a FISH scaling country, collaborative research with the CGIAR Research Program on Grain Legumes and Dryland Cereals is assessing the potential use of sorghum protein as a fish feed ingredient for tilapia farming, as well as the use of NovacqTM technology to convert sorghum waste into a bioactive aquaculture feed ingredient.

The proof-of-concept trials will be done in Kenya, in collaboration with the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT). Potential scaling into fish farms will be through ongoing ICRISAT projects and a partnership with Farm Africa for the development of aquaculture in Kenya.
