The webinar is part of the CGIAR efforts to raise awareness, learning and capacity on issues relating to Gender, Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace. Context of the event:
The CGIAR System support Function on Gender, Diversity and Inclusion (GDI) in CGIAR's Workplaces hosts a series of webinars for HR professionals and People Leaders in order to share knowledge and strengthen capacity for advancing GDI.
Our CGIAR Framework for Gender, Diversity and Inclusion makes an unequivocal commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace for everyone, and CGIAR has clearly condemned and rejected racism. It's important that we know what we stand for. But high-level statements are not enough. Racism and other forms of discrimination have no place in our global workplaces. We are taking informed and meaningful action.
This webinar invites you to join us for candid conversations. Three experts will share their perspectives on racial equality and lessons learned on combating racial discrimination in the workplace. The webinar will discuss the work underway by CGIAR's GDI function on anti-racism and explore what further practical actions can be taken, at the organizational and individual level. You can share your thoughts in real-time, through polls and a moderated chat function.
Fiona Farrell, CGIAR System Senior Advisor, GDI, will host this 90-minute webinar, and will be joined by three leading experts:

Her versatility and experience in partnering with boards and executive committees has positioned her well to work with largescale cultural change and DEI projects. Joel is the Chief Visionary Officer of Pneumos LLC, a management consulting and coaching company, based in San Francisco, USA, and specializing in cultural intelligence, leadership, change management, and strategic storytelling. Clients have ranged from LinkedIn to the UN, and his "sweet spots" include anti-racism, men's leadership, LGBT inclusion, interpersonal dialogue, and intercultural communication. Maria is a management consultant and certified coach, who has worked with international and intergovernmental organizations for over 30 years. Her UN service includes learning posts with UNHCR, IOM, and UNOG, serving as Chief of Learning and Leadership at UNHQ and as Deputy Director of the UN System Staff College. Currently, she is an independent consultant, executive coach and team coach for multiple UN clients.
