Context of the event:
As important regional stakeholders, we invite you to learn from our keynote speaker, Dr. Minderhoud from the University of Utrecht, marking the start of a stakeholder engagement process to co-develop priorities for the 2DI Mega-Deltas Regional Challenge. Dr. Minderhoud will tackle how to transform Asian Mega-deltas into resilient and inclusive agricultural landscapes with low-emissions supply chains for high-value products.
Specifically, it will aim to:
- To get a common understanding of the climate-related development challenges in 3 Asian Mega-Deltas;
- To define priorities for an effective R4D program; and
- To establish the added value of this partnership initiative.
Because of the current travel restrictions and distancing policies due to COVID-19, our stakeholder engagement events will be done online. In this series of online Listening Sessions, the key challenges, needs and priorities for the region, co-research for development projects, and focus areas based on public-private partnerships will be discussed. Our research team is tasked to listen and capture the needs of governments, businesses, donors, research institutions, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders to strengthen the climate resilience of the Asian Mega-Deltas.
