The Global Conference on Aquaculture Millennium +20 will bring together governments, business, academia and civil society to discuss aquaculture’s role in the global food system as the world community strives to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
Hosted by FAO, NACA and the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, this virtual event seeks to accelerate innovative research and development pathways to ensure the sustainability, resilience and inclusivity of future aquaculture production.
WorldFish’s Program Leader for Sustainable Aquaculture and Research Lead in Kenya, John Benzie, and Sustainable Aquaculture Research Program Lead, Vishnumurthy Mohan Chadag, will highlight the principles and strategic pathways to maximize sustainable aquaculture to achieve the SDGs without leaving anyone behind.
